Paul Trygstad
Vice President, Engineering

Paul Trygstad, Vice President of Engineering for Alpine Energy Group, has more than 28 years of experience working in the power industry. His responsibilities at Alpine include overseeing the various phases of development of projects that are in process. Prior to joining Alpine, Mr. Trygstad held several project manager/project engineering roles, providing technical advisory services, owner’s engineering, independent engineering, and expert testimony support for consulting firms R.W. Beck, Inc. , Harris Group, Inc. , and Stanley Consultants. Mr. Trygstad has spent 20 years working at electric utilities in power plant engineering, operation and senior management. He also owned a small company that specialized in power plant services, engineering, inventions, and consulting engineering services.

Mr. Trygstad is the author of numerous technical papers and publications and has presented at meetings of the ASME, APPA, EPRI, and the Rocky Mountain Electric League. He has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
